transform the long-haul flying
experience for Air New Zealand
economy and premium customers.

The
Premium Experience
Air New Zealand's new premium
class cabin will provide
customers with luxurious comfort
and service at a business class
price. The key feature will be
the introduction of the
revolutionary lie-flat seat.
The comfortable leather armchair
and ottoman transform into a
truly lie- flat bed measuring
six foot seven-and-a-half inches
(202 cm) and up to 33 inches
(84cm) wide at the shoulders.
Other features of the lie-flat
seat include:
Direct aisle access for all
passengers made possible by
unique herring bone layout.
Large adjustable table that
allows passengers to dine
together.
LED cabin lighting that adjusts
to the time of day and stage of
flight to enhance well-being and
comfort.
10.4 inch (26cm) in-seat
personal video screen.
In-seat power for portable
electronic devices, such as
laptops. Retractable cocktail
tray and water bottle holder.
Two individual reading lights.
The new seat, which transforms
to create the only truly
lie-flat bed flying into, or out
of, New Zealand at a business
class price, is being supplied
by United Kingdom manufacturer
Contour Premium Aircraft
Seating.
Inflight Entertainment
AVOD allowing the customer to
play, pause, rewind and forward
on demand just like they can
with DVDs and videos at home.
More choice than ever before
from a potential 780 hours video
content - with blockbuster
films, comedies, lifestyle and
travel programmes, dramas,
documentaries and sport.

additional information on

real time location maps with
terrain simulation.
The in-flight entertainment
system from United States-based
Rockwell Collins has the ability
to be upgraded to include
features such as internet and

and multi-player games in the
future.
