changes recently introduced in first
class are aimed at giving greater levels
of comfort and distinction on the
aircraft, as well as greater convenience
on the ground before and after your

The first class cabin is separated from
business class by curtains and ropes
and, on B-747 aircraft, it is situated
on the upper deck which is exclusively
for first class passengers.
When reclined in the 'bed' position, the
first class seat allows you to travel in
a position which is virtually
horizontal. An adjustable, individual
light is integrated into your seat for
greater comfort when reading (books,
newspapers …). Each seat comes complete
with its own video screen allowing you
to watch whichever film you choose from
the selection offered. Have a more
enjoyable flight by watching the video
Walkman which is also on offer during
your flight. Inside one arm of your seat
you will find the dual purpose handset
which is both remote control and
telephone. On the aircraft you have
exclusive use of the first class
passenger toilets, and Iberia provides a
comfort kit containing a selection of
useful items. There's also a wide
selection of Spanish and international
newspapers and magazines at the start of
your trip.
You will be offered a welcome drink once
on board the aircraft. Once the aircraft
has reached cruising altitude, the cabin
crew will be pleased to offer you an
aperitif from a wide selection of
drinks. After your aperitif, you will be
given the menu from which to select from
various options (if you have not
requested special meal preferences when
you booked your flight). The menu is
illustrated with images created by the
finest Spanish painters. You will enjoy
an individual style of service and your
selection will include Iranian caviar,
ice cream, Spanish specialities and the
best of international cuisine. You may
select from three main dishes. There is
also a rapid meal choice. Your
gastronomic experience on board will be
enhanced by fine china tableware,
